TechWeek Monday 076

Are you looking for some financial support to run an event during Techweek24? Our strategic partner TechStep are available to provide support to select Techweek24 events under the Talent & Diversity pillar.

What funding is available?

Selected events (or series) are eligible for up to $4,000 (GST Exclusive).
The funding is available for events running in the following regions:

South Island

  • Christchurch
  • Dunedin
  • Marlborough
  • Nelson
  • Southland

North Island

  • Rotorua
  • Taranaki / New Plymouth
  • Taupo
  • Hamilton
  • Whanganui
  • Tairawhiti (Gisborne)
  • Manawatu
  • Northland

What TechStep are looking for from events?

  • Events that connect with one or many of the following audiences: your local Māori, Pacific, women, Neuro Diverse, Disabled People, Career Changers, Kura aged school children and people who influence others, i.e. Careers teachers and Parents.
  • Events that inspire and inform these groups to see that it is possible for them to consider a career in tech.
  • Events that have hands on activities or information (i.e. speakers) that inform and inspire people. Speakers may come from the target group to show what is possible.
  • Events that get people to go to the TechStep website to find out more.

Funding is available on a first come first served basis until all funding has been allocated. Only one event per region will be funded – if all funding is not allocated additional events may be considered.

If you think your event meets the criteria, you can apply here.
